Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible?
Mangosteen Buddy SA (in formation), Lindenstrasse 9, 8832 Wollerau, Switzerland — admin@mangosteen.estate. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for people located in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect

  • Waitlist and newsletter: first name, email address, language and, if you provide them, canton, number of children, professional interest (school).
  • Purchases and downloads: name, email, billing address, country, products ordered. Card data is processed directly by our payment provider; we never see it.
  • Browsing: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, cookies (see section 7).
  • Messages: the content of emails you send us.

We do not collect any data about your children (no name, age or photo) through this site. Please do not include such details in messages.

3. Why

  • To tell you about the launch of Mangosteen Buddy and the offer for the first 500 families (consent).
  • To send the content you request and fulfil your orders (contract).
  • To keep our accounts (legal obligation).
  • To keep the site secure and improve it (legitimate interest).

We never sell or rent your data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

4. Who has access
Only our technical providers, bound by contract: Squarespace (hosting, forms, email, shop — Ireland/USA), Stripe and/or PayPal (payments), Google (analytics, if enabled). Where data is processed in the United States or other countries, transfers rely on an adequacy decision of the Swiss Federal Council (notably the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or on recognised standard contractual clauses.

5. How long

  • Waitlist: until you unsubscribe, at most 24 months after launch if you do not become a customer.
  • Orders: 10 years (accounting obligation).
  • Browsing data: 26 months at most.

6. Your rights
You may at any time request access to, correction, deletion or a copy of your data in a common format, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Write to admin@mangosteen.estate; we reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, in the EU, your national authority.

7. Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (cart, security, remembering your choices) and, only if you accept them, audience measurement cookies. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

8. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures (encrypted connection, restricted access, strong passwords and two-factor authentication).

9. Changes
We may update this policy. The version published online applies.

Terms of sale (shop)

1. Scope. These terms govern the sale of digital content (comics in PDF, games, bundles) on mangosteen.estate by Mangosteen Buddy SA (in formation).

2. Customers. The shop is for private individuals resident in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Minors order through their parents.

3. Prices. Prices are in Swiss francs, all taxes included. Mangosteen Buddy SA is not currently registered for VAT.

4. Order and payment. The contract is concluded on payment confirmation. Accepted methods are those shown at checkout.

5. Delivery. The download link is emailed immediately after payment. It is valid for 24 hours; a new link is sent automatically if it expires.

6. Cancellation. Swiss law provides no right of withdrawal for online purchases. As the products are digital and immediately downloadable, sales are final. If a file is faulty, write to admin@mangosteen.estate: we will replace it or refund you.

7. Licence. Purchase grants unlimited private and family use. Resale, public sharing and online distribution are prohibited.

8. Premium. The Premium subscription (CHF 150 per year per family, unlimited access to all educational content) will be governed by specific terms published at its opening.

9. First 500 families offer. The first 500 families who sign up and confirm their email address receive one year of Premium free. One offer per family and email address. Valid when Premium opens (planned for February 2027), to be activated within 60 days of the activation email. Not combinable, no cash alternative. Order of sign-up applies.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction. Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction: Wollerau (SZ), subject to mandatory consumer jurisdictions.
