Your child learns by doing

- I watch my orchard grow over the years, and I understand why.
Learn: Mangosteen's missions

What do 300 francs of pocket money a year become?
Example: your child puts aside CHF 300 a year from age 6 and invests it every year until 19. Here is what their orchard could be worth at 20 under three average annual return scenarios.
| Start | Paid in | 3% | 5% | 7% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| from 6 | 4'200 | 5'280 | 6'174 | 7'239 |
| from 8 | 3'600 | 4'385 | 5'014 | 5'742 |
| from 10 | 3'000 | 3'542 | 3'962 | 4'435 |
| from 12 | 2'400 | 2'748 | 3'008 | 3'293 |
Capital at 20 in CHF, with CHF 300 a year, by starting age.
Illustrative simulation only, net of fees, with a payment at the start of each year and a constant annual return. The dynamic scenario corresponds to a portfolio heavily invested in equities over a long period. Returns are not guaranteed; the value of an investment can go down as well as up, and past performance is no guide to future performance. This is not investment advice.

Your questions
Can a child really invest in Switzerland?
Yes: parents can open a securities account in their child's name and manage it for them. In Mangosteen Buddy, the child suggests and a parent approves every order.
Who owns the money invested?
Your child. You manage it until they come of age, as provided by the Swiss Civil Code; they can use it freely at 18. An option in the parent's name will also be offered.
What does the account cost?
The account, card and app are free. Only the Education and Premium plans are paid. Any custody fees will be those of the partner bank, disclosed before any account is opened.
From what age?
There is no minimum or maximum age. The account can be opened from birth, and content adapts to every age, from piggy-bank mode for little ones to tools for teenagers.
When will Mangosteen Buddy be available?
A pilot is planned first in French-speaking Switzerland. Families on the waitlist will be told first and get 6 months of the Education plan free.
